Summer is slidin’ out slow

I got this mater off one of the late plants we got at the Chico Saturday Farmer's Market. A little memory of Summer.

And if you think that’s pretty, check out the inside!

I wish my camera had "taste-o-vision," this bad boy was so smooth and sweet!

We are still eating fresh tomatoes here – today I made a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich on white bread – the dollar loaf from WalMart.  I’ll tell you my cholesterol enriching secret – I spread mayonnaise on both sides of the bread. Makes the outside brown up perfect, and keeps the inside all moist and juicy. The cheese melts around the sliced tomatoes, makes ’em sweet!

I’m sorry I was unable to get a picture of the sandwich before I inhaled it. I been working outside all day, trying to enjoy this great weather, get the chores done before it gets wet. Got the rain gutters cleaned, it is very nice to look out my upstairs windows and look at all the clean rooftops around me, gutters ready for that first big Whopper.

The view from the rooftop - gutters spic and span, pool put away, trees turning color. There you can see where I killed my lawn to put the pool last year, worked out great.
